Jupiter in Aries 2022-2023: Enterprising Spirit
Jupiter, the planet of expansion and opportunities, is about to finish its journey through the watery depths of Pisces. It re-enters the fiery, action-oriented landscape of Aries on Dec. 20 2022.
The time Jupiter changes signs always feels like a breath of fresh energy, because opportunities for expansion shift to another area of our life.
Which House is in Aries in your natal chart? Jupiter invites you to take more initiative and to be bold and courageous in that area of your life.
This is Jupiter`s second visit of Aries this year:
- May 10 2022 -Oct. 27 2022
- December 20 2022 – May 17 2023
After that, we won`t see Jupiter in this fiery sign for another 12 years!
I wrote the original post below in May 2022. It`s always interesting to take a look back.... These were my predictions at the time.

The Good:
Jupiter expands everything it touches, and here it will be waking up the enterprising and pioneering spirit. More people might be starting their own business or becoming self-employed.
Labour shortages have become an issue in many parts of the USA and Canada. It`s partially due to the aging workforce, but also because a lot of people quit or lost their jobs during the pandemic - and they are not in a hurry to return to traditional employment.
Jupiter in Aries is a great cycle to take charge of your life. “Be bold. Don’t be afraid of new starts and new beginnings”, says this energy. After all, Aries is known as the warrior! Feel your inner warrior expand - find your confidence, voice your opinions, feel your motivation increase.
Courage can be increased when Jupiter goes through Aries, and new heroes can emerge.
Jupiter in Aries is great news for Aries (or the Aries Ascendant), Leo, Sagittarius and Libra. You will have new opportunities available to you in the House (=area of your life) Jupiter will be going through in your natal chart.
Cancer and Capricorn might have an optimistic time filled with opportunities, but not all of them will deliver.

The Bad:
One thing that is not so great – Aries also rules the military, so everything related to the military can expand, from the manufacturing industries to war action, especially during the time Mars also moves into Aries: May 24-July 4.
Jupiter, Inflation, and Shifts in the World Economy
For the world economy, Jupiter’s move into Aries means that new sectors will start flourishing. If you’ve been reading my blog on a regular basis, you know that my prediction was for rising inflation during the time Jupiter was in Pisces, and for oil and gas prices skyrocketing, especially in March-April 2022, when we felt the conjunction of Neptune and Jupiter.
Gas prices started skyrocketing in North America in March 2022, and reached the highest point in June 2022 - and then we finally saw some relief at the pump.
With Jupiter in Aries, the expansion could be experienced in the defense sector/military, base metals and construction. Now, “expansion” is not always positive – it can also mean increasing prices, and we have seen this with the price of oil and gas this spring.
If you’re thinking of building a house, or starting on a major construction, there may be an increase in the cost of building supplies. On the plus side, there can also be more construction, which would bring some much-needed supply of new homes. And that would help with the real estate crisis we’ve been experiencing here in North America over the past couple of years! Speaking about escalating prices!
“Will we be getting a break from inflation soon”, you might be asking.
Well…there may be a brief reprieve in the summer, but remember, Jupiter will be retrograding into Pisces on October 28. And not only that. In the fall of 2022, we will also experience one last Saturn-Uranus (almost) square. It won’t be exact, but the planets will be less than 1 degree from one another, which is close enough to experience the full brunt of this energy.
We already experienced the Saturn-Uranus square three times in 2021, but it started building in the spring of 2020.
In my previous posts, I wrote that the Saturn-Uranus square would bring supply-chain disruptions, and that certainly played out in the world. Interestingly, the planets came into a wide orb of 5 degrees in the spring of 2020, at the time there were infamous toilet paper shortages all through North America! Remember, the first touchdown of the energy can often foreshadow things to come.
So….not to depress you, but the Saturn-Uranus square will start tightening again in late July 2022, and will peak on Oct. 22. We will feel its effects into early December 2022.
I’m not an economist, but it seems that inflation we’ve been experiencing is brought on by supply shortages, exacerbated by transportation issues. In some cases (such as real estate), demand increased as well. We can expect more of the same supply-demand imbalance until early 2023.
Inflation is starting to come down in the USA and Canada, but it`s still a long climb down to the 2% target set by Federal Reserve and the Bank of Canada. One of the issues, according to economists - labour (supply) shortages!
And let’s not forget that the eclipse axis is currently in the financial signs of Taurus and Scorpio. Shocks can be experienced in the financial and agricultural sector. True to form, a market correction transpired in January 2022, 6 weeks after the first eclipse in Taurus, on Nov. 19 2021.
Yes, and the stock market is still on the downward trajectory.
There may be agricultural shortages, brought on by extreme weather conditions or other factors (for example, the Russia-Ukraine situation limiting the supply of wheat). The high price of fertilizer is not helping either.
This came true big time, in many countries.
The eclipse on November 8 2022 in particular will set off the final Saturn-Uranus square: the energy of instability and supply chain disruptions. Things could get worse in the fall of 2022 and into early 2023, before they get better again.
The last eclipse in the Taurus-Scorpio series will be happening on October 28 2023, but hopefully the world will be moving into a much more stable economic environment before that!

Moving from the global trends to personal astrology, here is a brief forecast for each Ascendant Sign. If you don't know your Ascendant sign, read the forecast below as if it's for your Sun sign (read "Leo Ascendant" if you're a Leo).

Taurus Ascendant:
Your spiritual insights and intuition will increase. It’s a good year to work on something that you’re planning to put into motion when Jupiter enters Taurus. For example, it’s a good year to be preparing for a launch of your business or a book. A great year for spiritual pursuits. Try yoga or meditation. A good year for finding just the right coach or a therapist to work with.
Jupiter will be going through your 12th House.
Gemini Ascendant:
A great time to expand your circle of friends and to network. Join a professional association. Get yourself more visible on social media: you could gain a lot of new audience. Make new professional contacts – they can bring good gains long-term.
Jupiter will be going through your 11th House.
Cancer Ascendant:
A great time for career opportunities, and for being “in the public eye”. Build a relationship with your boss - it will be helpful for you later on! Jupiter in the 10th House can bring accolades that feel "undeserved" (for example, your team's accomplishments can be attributed to you as their boss, even though you didn't participate or provide guidance).

Leo Ascendant:
There can be increased opportunities for travel, learning and growth. If you’re a writer, it could be a good period to publish your book! Your optimism and luck are increased. If you need to improve your relationship with your in-laws, now is the time.
Jupiter will be going through your 9th House.
Virgo Ascendant:
There can be financial gains through others. If you need to apply for a loan or a mortgage, this is a good time. If occult sciences are your thing, it’s a good year for that as well. There can be deep psychological healing for those who have gone through a crisis. And, it’s a good energy for your sex life 😉

Libra Ascendant:
Excellent! When I see Jupiter going through the client’s 7th House, there is often a new relationship – one that you benefit from! (even though it might not be your forever). This person will bring something of value into your life. For those already in a relationship, there is an opportunity for the relationship to grow and flourish. There can be positive developments in business relationships, new business partnerships, and beneficial contracts.
Jupiter will be going through your 7th House.
Scorpio Ascendant:
Improvement of health through lifestyle changes; positive developments in your work environment (such as, positive relationships with your teammates, recognition for your contributions, your physical working environment changes for the better). It’s also a great time to get a pet.
Jupiter will be going through your 6th House.
Sagittarius Ascendant:
New romantic opportunities that bring joy; great energy for creative pursuits and self-expression. Your luck increases. If you have children, there may be good developments in their life. And, if you’re thinking of starting a family, Jupiter in your 5th House lends support!

Capricorn Ascendant:
Oooh Jupiter in your 4th House! An excellent time to buy or sell property, or to find the right place to rent. An auspicious energy for home improvements, and for enjoying time with family.
Aquarius Ascendant:
An auspicious time for writing, speaking and media-related pursuits. A great energy for developing new skills and interests, that will bring enjoyment. If you need to improve your relationship with neigbours or siblings, the energy is supportive! It may be a socially busy year.
Jupiter will be going through your 3rd House.
Pisces Ascendant:
Jupiter in your 2nd House! Nice! It's a prime period to manifest abundance. Great for financial growth, and for increasing your knowledge of financial matters. But, before all of this wonderful financial growth comes into your life, work on your sense of self-worth. Yes, you ARE worthy of all this abundance!! Why wouldn't you be? If you have any self-limiting beliefs related to money, now is the time to work on them as well.
