Jupiter Retrogrades into Aquarius
Jupiter (opportunities, expansion) continues through this year’s retrograde cycle, moving back into Aquarius on July 28. Jupiter retrograde is a regular cycle, repeating every 13 months and lasting for 4 months on average.
When a planet retrogrades into the sign, it's like it says, "I have some unfinished business!" For Jupiter, it's to revisit the areas it's expanded. Was it just right? Too much? Too little?
This retrograde started in Pisces, with Jupiter now re-visiting Aquarius until December 29. It will turn direct at 22 degrees Aquarius on October 18.
Aquarius: Technology and Innovation
At the global level, this energy encourages us to revisit the role technology has played in our lives over the past months – did you love working from home, or did those virtual meetings become too much at the end? Come January 2022, when Jupiter leaves Aquarius for a good long time, we will have a clearer picture of the technological advances we want to take into the future (and what we want to leave behind).
Aquarius: Interconnectedness
We can also be revisiting how we see interconnectedness – another Aquarian theme. We all had our revelations about what human connection means to us, during COVID. Many longed for a human in-person connection. Others happily embraced Zoom. And then there is my co-worker, telling me he misses the lock-downs, because they allowed him to relish his inner introvert…😊 Regardless of the experience, COVID taught us a lot about what connecting with others means to us.

Will You Be Affected by Jupiter's Return to Aquarius?
If you’re a Leo b. Aug. 14-22, Aquarius b. Feb. 10-19, Taurus b. May 12-21, Scorpio b. Nov. 14-22, Gemini b. June 12-22, or Libra b. Oct. 15-23, you will feel this Jupiter retrograde on a personal level. You will be able to revisit opportunities that came into your life between March and early May of this year.
For Aquarius, Libra and Gemini, you will be able to cinch these good developments if you take action.
For Taurus and Scorpio, guard yourself against over-confidence. Not all of the opportunities might deliver.
And for Leo, the choice will be yours. While doors are opening somewhere in your life, you just might choose to give them a pass and pursue something else instead! While an opportunity might come knocking, it has to be the right opportunity, at the right time.
2021 is a big year for all the signs mentioned here, anyway. Saturn (commitments, responsibilities but also obstacles) is also in Aquarius this year. It supports Libra and Gemini, but challenges Taurus, Scorpio, and to a lesser degree Leo. The beautiful thing about the Jupiter-Saturn combo though: it does promise success in undertakings, even though some signs will need to put in more work to get there, than others.
And, if you are a Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, some of you may be feeling energizing but destabilizing energy of change. That’s Uranus going through Taurus. You may be called to make a change in your life, or change may be imposed on you by people or circumstances.

If you have personal planets at 22 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, Gemini, or Libra – pay attention!! When a transiting Jupiter makes a connection to your natal Sun or personal planets, it brings increased luck, joy and opportunities for expansion. Generally this happy astrological event only lasts for about a week.
But when Jupiter changes direction, it slows down to a crawl ("stations") at the same spot. This time around Jupiter will be stationed at 22 degrees of Aquarius for a good long time – Sept. 29 to Nov. 7. That’s a good long stretch of increased opportunities to take advantage of.
