Virgo Season: 6 Things to Try

The Sun enters Virgo on Aug. 23 2023 at 2:01 a.m. PDT. Happy Birthday to all Virgos out there!

One of the things I love about astrology is that it keeps us connected with the larger cycles of the Universe. As the Sun travels through the Zodiac through the year, each month we get a chance to “try on” the qualities of that sign.

If all you do is just follow the Sun as it moves through the Zodiac signs, within 12 months you will have a chance to work on all areas of your life!

And when the Sun moves into Virgo, it asks us these questions:

Where in your life could you use more of Virgoan qualities, such as precision, attention to detail, getting rid of emotional and physical clutter on a regular basis, and being of service to others?

Some things to try during the Virgo Season:

1 - Make a Change Toward a Healthier Lifestyle

Perhaps it’s about introducing more greens into your diet. Or cutting out smoking. Or walking more. Or watching your cholesterol levels. Keep on with it through Virgo Season – before you know it, you will have yourself a new healthy habit.

The New Moon in Virgo this year is particularly auspicious. It falls on Sept. 14 at 6:40 p.m. PDT. Set intentions for improved health, health0oriented changes to your lifestyle, and for improved ability to look after practical details of your life (if you need it).

2 - Elevate Being Organized to an Art

Keep to-do lists. Organize important info so it’s at your fingertips when you need it. Learn a technology hack that simplifies your life.

3 - Give Some Dedicated Time and Effort to "Cleaning Up"

Focus on the part of your life (or house!) that needs "cleaning up".  Declutter.  Purge old files you no longer need.  They may be electronic.  Or, they may be emotional. Those old photos of your toxic ex.  Come on, you would never have a happy life with him (or her), and you know it.  It's time to get rid of that old emotional baggage.

And while you're at it, it's time to get rid of self-limiting beliefs that don't serve you. Seriously, you might have been told "you'll never be able to make a good living for yourself" when you were young. Says who??? Your adult self doesn't have to accept it.  Do some work this season to get rid of physical and emotional clutter.

Simplify your life!  If your schedule is filled to the brim and you're rushing from one thing to another, it can be difficult to focus on what's truly important. What can you delegate, defer, or "delete" (drop from your schedule?)

4 - Get a Pet (if that's your thing)

Virgo rules pets. Perhaps there is a furry (or feathery…or scaly…) friend out there who would love to be a part of your life?

5 - Offer Some Practical Help to Those Around You

Get your Mom’s groceries for her. Babysit for a new parent so they could get a break. There are times to offer your opinion or a shoulder to cry on - but Virgo Season is not one of them.  It's about being of service to others in a practical sense.

6 - Move to Your Sun Line!

This tip is based on one of my favourite topics, astro-cartography! Did you know that there are planetary lines running all over the world, unique to YOU, that can enhance certain energies in your life, if you live close to such a line?

Since it's Virgo Season, let's talk about health and vitality. If your vitality is a concern, see if you do better by moving to your Sun line. You can choose to spend your vacation there, for example, and see you feel impacts in a couple of weeks.

If your health is delicate or you have a chronic health condition, living close to a Saturn line is unadvisable (and this came true for one of my clients who relocated for work, to a place that was on her Saturn line).

Best of all? If you have a beginner to intermediate knowledge of astrology, you can learn how to find your Sun line yourself, with my 90-minute digital course, "(Re)Location by the Stars!"
